"very Important Canal Frame From The Early 19th Century"

"Very important early 19th century channel frame", carved and gilded wood on light primer, 99 X 109 cm, view 72 X 83 cm and rebate 75 X 87 cm. Acanthus leaf decoration in the corners and gadroons around the edge. Very early in the 19th century, the fact that it is in carved wood makes it much lighter than its stuccoed equivalents. Many small losses and rubbings which have been masked by an ugly bronze to be stripped. Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone. Other photos and many other objects in our shops in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
