A navy blue velvet headband on which a triple Hungarian knot and a yellow thread braid are sewn.
A black turban on which the commander's yellow 4-thread braid are sewn.
A black varnished visor. A fawn-colored leather inner rim.
A distinctive badge: The hunting horn with a grenade in golden yellow thread.Attributed to the customs brigades (in 1875): The horn by similarity with the voltigeurs, the grenade as elite soldiers.
In good general condition, with traces of use.Headdress worn.Size 56 cm.
After being part of the French Equatorial Africa Federation from 1910 to 1958, Gabon proclaimed its independence on August 17, 1960.
