Charming cabinet circa 1880 resting on its original base. It is made of blackened wood covered with real tortoiseshell plates. The decoration is in gilded lacquer with some inlays. Some missing parts on the exterior doors. This charming little piece of furniture, a jewelry box, opens with two doors to reveal 6 interior drawers also covered with tortoiseshell.
