Beautiful saber for a senior naval officer. Horn handle. Superb gilt and chiseled brass mount. Cap decorated in the round with foliage and shells. Guard with one branch and openwork shell decorated with an anchor and foliage. Slightly curved blade from "Coulaux à Klingenthal", with a rounded back, counter-edged, hollow sides and fullers. Scabbard with three beautiful gilt and cut brass fittings, decorated in relief with an anchor, flowers and foliage, with two iron rings. Blade length 72cm Total length 85.5cm
