Silver sugar bowl in the shape of a tripod baluster, the feet are in the shape of boar's legs with shell attachments. The body with two handles is decorated with rocaille motifs adorned with a cartouche engraved in its center with a coat of arms under a marquis' crown. The ogee lid is decorated with rocailles and a screwed fretel formed by three strawberries resting on a bed of leaves. Paris, 1758-1759. The master goldsmith's mark is illegible. Weight 425g - height 13.5cm. Condition, good, traces of use, very beautiful model of Louis XV sugar bowl taking up the decorative style of this period. The coat of arms framed by two lions is superb.
