Our monstrance in carved and gilded wood, hosts in its center a relic ex-ossibus of the leg of Saint Maur, Martyr. He is a Roman Saint, persecuted in the 3rd century by Diocletian. On the back an episcopal seal guarantees the quality of the honored relic.
The reliquary rests on two astonishing Venetian lions, in gilded wood and positioned in a mirror.
Great expression with their open mouths.
In Christian iconography, lions can symbolize the strength of faith and divine protection. Placed at the base of our reliquary, in addition to the geographical signature, they reinforce the sacred character of the piece.

An Italian work from the end of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century with an original presentation.
Dimensions of 42 cm high by 40 cm wide and 25 cm deep
Used condition - base partially detached Reference 645
