Grandson of the famous Mexican muralist José Clemente Orozco, Gabriel Orozco’s photographs, installations and sculptures offer a distinctive model of how artists can influence the world with their work.
In the 2008 series The Samurai Tree, Orozco uses a structured set of rules by which he fills his paintings with abstract and sometimes biomorphic variations of ellipses.
