Charles X Period Bronze Fireplace Trim
Troubadour style mantel set in chased, patinated and gilded bronze from the Charles X period. It includes a “fountain” clock: a cut crystal tube imitates water flowing into an aquarium, and a pair of crystal melissa water bottles in their chased and patinated bronze mounts with Gothic decorations. The stoppers of the falcons are missing.
The clock mechanism is complete but does not work. The mechanism that turns the glass tube works but the rod holding the tube is broken and will need to be re-soldered (see photos).
Dimensions of the clock:
Height: 46cm
Width: 17cm
Depth: 13cm
Dimensions of the cassolettes:
Height: 30cm
Width at the base: 9.5cm
