Antique Koumiya Morocco - Moroccan - Berber Dagger - Silver Scabbard - Koumiyya Koummya

A handmade steel khanjar (koummya) dagger and its scabbard, made of copper and 84% silver. The steel blade is attached to a wooden handle inlaid with silver and brass panels and enamel decoration. The scabbard was covered in brass on one side and silver on the other. Intricate decoration and silver work.
These knives were functional but they were also part of ceremonial or formal attire and were worn as highly decorative pieces or given as important gifts.
In good condition, authentic and a true antique.
