1900 Travel Reliquary In Turned Boxwood With Two Relics
In a small round container made of turned and threaded boxwood, here is a travel reliquary composed of two relics composed of fragments of the chasubles of two Lazarist missionaries sent to China in the 19th century and martyred.
+ Perboyre: beatified in 1889
+ JF Clet beatified on May 27, 1900
This reliquary is dated from the latter at the beginning of the year 1900 and we can therefore imagine that it was made by sisters in some convents before this date and could therefore date from the end of the 19th century. It is still sealed with wax with its threads, the exact meaning of the seal is to be determined.
