Venice, circa 1800. Painted and gilded wooden sculpture, representing a young servant standing, in an attitude ''a contrapposto''. Dressed in a luxurious damask, polychrome and gilded outfit. The base on which the statue rests is decorated with flowers and classical motifs, accentuating the opulent and baroque character of this work of art. This Nubian is not only a striking decorative piece, but also a testimony to the craftsmanship and style of the past, evoking an era of grandeur and exoticism. Very good condition, despite the lack of the torch, and a phalanx.
