Small 18th Century Tomb Chest Of Drawers, Made Of Chestnut Wood. "commode Tombeau"
Pretty little chest of drawers called "tombeau" from the 18th century.
In carved and molded solid chestnut, it is elegantly curved on three sides.
Opening with three drawers, the bronzes are original. Very beautiful patina.
Originally from the Gard, towards the south of the Cévennes.
Very healthy, chestnut is a hard wood resistant to most wood-eating insects.
Some slight restorations of use.
