Antique 1902 Thieme Potschappel Dresden porcelain scent bottle
This exquisite antique porcelain scent bottle, crafted around 1902 by the Thieme Potschappel Dresden factory, features an oriental-inspired design with hand-painted bird motifs and intricate floral decorations. Luxurious gold accents on the finial and edges elevate its elegance. The form draws inspiration from Johann Stadler’s 18th-century designs at Meissen, blending tradition with early 20th-century innovation.
The underside bears the underglazed blue company mark, along with the incised numbers 2991 and 52 in gold, confirming its authenticity.

Historical background:

His works, known for vibrant colours and intricate detailing, gained international acclaim and are now highly sought after by collectors.
This scent bottle exemplifies Thieme’s legacy, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and artistic refinement for which Dresden porcelain is celebrated.
