Rare Walnut Music Cabinet – 1920

This rare music cabinet has the particularity of having two barred glass doors, i.e. four beveled windows. This double door, equipped with an original functional lock with key, offers a fixed shelf on cleats inside. The upper walnut veneer shelf, arranged in four leaves, is decorated with spinning tops and a pediment with ribboned musical instrument motifs and acanthus leaves. This set is held in place by turned uprights and consoles decorated with scrolls and acanthus leaves. The lower part has vertical storage racks also topped with a storage space. All these elements rest on turned and ringed feet with casters.
