Small Gothic spirit sideboard, in solid Walnut in its entirety, except for the top and the side panels which are in original Oak. It is made up of 3 distinct elements, which are easily separated from each other by an elementary assembly system. The upper part, with a narrowed body, opens with 2 doors, revealing 2 storage compartments formed by the presence of a 33 cm deep shelf. These doors are equipped with fittings, a lock in working order and its key, the original set. They are richly ornamented, the most notable elements being its 2 sculpted figures, themselves framed by a series of protruding moldings of increasing size. A cherub's face in the middle of its wings also embellishes this 1st element surmounted by an imposing very ornate Cornice. Its pediment with slopes rising towards the sky, gives the facade the illusion of a roof. In its center, a niche houses the removable sculpture of an ancient character. The intermediate part of this sideboard, in addition to its multiple decorations and friezes, offers 2 drawers, equipped with pull handles. The lower element, wider, has the same practical and aesthetic characteristics as the upper part, except that it has a deeper shelf (40 cm). Note that the 4 characters represented on the front of this piece of furniture are all different from each other.
