His work is situated between that of André Cottavoz - with whom he exhibited in the 60s - and, for certain works, the research of Eugène Leroy, although he would rarely dare to go as far as the disappearance of the subject in the material. The subjects – studio window, landscapes, crowds – are often pretexts for research into color, the vibration of light and matter.
