"Triplet Of Ibeji Yoruba Statuettes"
Rare triplet of ibeji, statuettes of the cult of twins, among the Yoruba of Nigeria. This triplet includes a female statue and two male (smaller) ones. The statues have pearl necklaces and brass bracelets. The style of sculpture suggests a provenance from the Abeokuta region in Nigeria. The statues have a beautiful and old patina of use. Their ancestry dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. They have no restoration. Collection P. Terrier (Paris) and gallery P. Laeremans (Bruxelles)
