Polychrome and gilded porcelain soup tureen or vegetable dish from the famille verte CHINA, probably from the QING Dynasty, KANGXI period (1662-1722)
Circular in shape, the body, the interior and the lid decorated with branches of blooming flowers, the border with small cartouches on a geometric background alternating with flowers, the lid surmounted by a plant-shaped handle in the center of a double circle with a frieze of flowers and the rim decorated with bouquets of flowers enhanced with gilding.
Diameters 25 to 27 cm. (10 in.) heights 12 to 17 cm
Old restoration at the handle of the lid, small loss on the edge of the lid following a firing crack and minimal crack
