Large Double-sided Empire Mahogany Desk
Large mid-century mahogany desk from the late 19th century Opening with 4 drawers on the front, one of which is double, it rests on four columns decorated with bronze rings and connected by an X-shaped spacer. It has a rich ornamentation of chiseled bronzes, palmettes on the uprights, a large subject representing the chariot of love on each side and lock entries on both sides decorated with swans with outstretched wings. Top and side pulls (2 x 37 cm) covered in leather and gilded vignette with iron. Small stains of use on the leather.
