Very beautiful black and white engraving made by Schelte Bolswert after a painting by Jacob Jordaens. The original painting was painted in 1638, this work measuring 120 cm X 190 cm is currently kept at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp. It represents a pretty family scene around a table, children playing the flute while several adults accompany them by singing. Our engraving is presented in a very beautiful quality frame in the Napoleon III style. It is lacquered in black and decorated with carved and gilded stucco strips. A glass protects our print.
