Louis XIII Standing Man In Walnut, Diminutive Cabinet, 2 Parts, High Recessed Sideboard, 17th Century

Very handsome Louis XIII-style solid walnut standing man from the late 17th - early 18th centuries, from the SOUTH-WEST region of France.
Our piece of furniture is composed of two superimposed parts, the upper part being recessed.
Each part opens on the front with a door and a large transverse drawer.
Our piece of furniture rests on two square-section feet at the back and two ball feet at the front.
The door panels, as well as the side panels, are worked to form geometric motifs (tiangles, lozenges), which are molded on the edges.
The front jambs are all embellished with a twisted half-column rechambered in black.
The unit is topped by a removable pediment with broken sides and decorated with two central spinning tops, so it can be presented with or without this pediment.
This piece of furniture has its two original locks, the keys working.
The lock escutcheons, as well as the pull buckles, are also original.
This piece of furniture is therefore in remarkable condition for its age, with a very beautiful patina.
We would point out, however, that the half-columns on the right-hand uprights limit the opening of the two doors a little ( see photos 12 showing the maximum opening).
