Louis XV Period Armchair, La Reine Flat Back, 18th Century. Velvet Curly Fabric.

A handsome and very important Louis XV period armchair with a wide, flat "à la Reine" back.
This handsome waxed and patinated natural wood seat rests on four cambered legs ending in acanthus leaves.
The two front legs are adorned with a fleururette motif at the top.
The waistband is curved and curved, and is also embellished with a charming floral motif on the front crosspiece.
The arm brackets are curved and recessed with a projecting molding. They support armrests fitted with cuffs.
The back is wide and flat and adorned at the top with a pretty leafy stem motif.
This seat is in perfect condition , the structure is very stable, the upholstery is comfortable and the covering fabric is looped velvet.
We would like to point out an old restoration on the back low rail and the high rail, as well as a small rise under the front right foot.
