Art Deco Clock, Mantelpiece. Amiens Flinois/roussel

Typical of the Art Deco period, this clock, a true cubist sculpture, is in pink marble highlighted with silvered bronzes decorated with stylized foliage and flowers. Trapezoidal dial, gilded numerals and hands on a background of silvered foliage. It is presented with its two pocket emptiers in the same materials.

It is signed Flinois/Roussel for Pierre Flinois and Henri Roussel. The illustrious Flinois house, jeweler, watchmaker and goldsmith which still exists in Amiens, was founded in 1739.
