A pair of reversible Medici vases (or torch vases), in satin-finish pink opaline known as ‘gorge de pigeon’. A two-part design comprising a Medici-style vase with a flanged rim and gadrooned body, resting on a tall, bell-shaped cylindrical base forming a pedestal. Gilded brass mount, chiselled with a frieze at the base. Decoration enamelled in fine gold featuring neo-Gothic arches on the neck and draped floral garlands on the pedestal.
