18th Century Italian Chest Of Drawers
Chest of drawers with curved front and side, Italian Baroque 18th century, this beautiful chest of drawers opens with three drawers including a smaller one under the top. Veneer wood, marquetry floral and scroll decoration, the marble top has scratches and must have already been polished once. Probably a Neapolitan barocchetto work. A model of a fairly similar spirit can be found in the book by G. wannenes devoted to Italian furniture of the 18th century, page 215. Note that the chest of drawers still has its old wallpaper inside the drawers.
