Signed silver print, photographer's stamp on the back. Photo size: 30.5 x 27.2 cm Photo size including margin: 40.4 x 30.2 cm Brassaï settled in the Montparnasse district in the 1920s. He immortalized the legendary Paris of this period, with its quays plunged into the November mist, its monuments and its inhabitants from all social backgrounds. He also signed very beautiful portraits of his accomplices and friends, including Jacques Prévert, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse, Alberto Giacometti and the writer Jean Genet.
