Lovely pair of flamboyant Louis XV style dressing or writing table candlesticks in sterling silver(950%) . They have exactly the same shape as the Louis XV period candlesticks in gilded bronze that are still found on the art market. Like their period models, they were cast and chased rather than embossed. The finesse of the chasing is extraordinary. They weigh 490 grams.
