Superb composition representing a small Mediterranean port, probably one of the villages of the "Cinque Terre". It is an oil on cardboard signed lower right Joly de Beynec, referenced in Bénézit. French landscape painter born in 1876. He was a student of J. Lefèvre and TR Fleury. He exhibited in Paris, at the salon of French artists, landscapes of Dordogne and the Pyrenees. The colors, the light, everything is painted with subtlety and delicacy. Oil on cardboard (only) of 53 cm x 41 cm. It is presented in a beautiful modern frame in perfect condition of, 70 cm x 58 cm.
