Maurice Feuillet (1873-1958): "Ballet of Gondolas on the Lagoon", pencil drawing 33 X 49 cm, mounted by a gray canvas marie-louise in a half-round silver frame 49 X 65 cm. Circa 1900. Treated in an almost pointillist technique close to that of Seurat, namely the pencil wiping the roughness of the paper and leaving the lights in reserve, this extraordinary drawing, in a slight dive, shows us a ballet of gondolas bringing their passengers to the various party places of the city whose illuminations are reflected in the lagoon...
