Gilded Wood Center Console, Louis XIV
Middle console in gilded wood and red Belgian marble. The console is crossed in a belt of frieze lambrequins and rests on four baluster legs joined by a spacer decorated in its center with a rosette. The wood is carved with motifs of palmettes, asparagus tips and large acanthus leaves.
