Large pen and gouache drawing, representing a landscape animated by imaginary Roman ruins, with an Arc de Triomphe in the style of the Arch of Constantine. Superb achievement, signed François Masurais. Dated August 1873, "Remains of an Arc de Triomphe", in the tradition of Italian drawings of the 18th century. Very good condition, a slight water stain at the top left, some faint foxing, barely visible. Gilded frame, slight accidents.
