Full Samurai Armor - Edo Period (1603 - 1868).

KABUTO in wrought iron with sixty-two plates. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in gilded copper with four degrees. SHIKORO (neck cover) with four degrees in brown lacquered iron and blue silk braiding. FUKIGAYESHI (the side fins) and MABI SA SHI (the visor) in brown lacquered wrought iron, the fins decorated with the mon of the Hongo clan. MAEDATE representing a straight sword, point upwards. Half-mask of samurai called MEMPO in brown lacquered iron, red lacquered lips. Pronounced chin, mobile nose, pierced nostrils. Gorget with four degrees in black lacquered iron and blue silk. SODE (shoulder guards) with seven degrees in lacquered metal and white and plum silk. Breastplate with eight lamellae of brown lacquered iron and blue silk braiding. Arm guards, kote, in chainmail and iron plates. Skirt, kusazuri, and cuissards, haidate, with five rows in brown lacquered metal and blue silk. Leggings, suneate, in iron plates, chainmail and white silk. Very good general condition. Additional photos and details on request. Sold with its transport chest (gusoku bitsu) covered in leather and stamped with the mon of the Hongo clan, and its presentation stand. Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 144 x 90 x 50 cm.
