18th Century Writing Table In Guaiac Wood And Mahogany, Port Work
Attractive writing table with gaiac wood legs, mahogany top, side rails and drawer.
The framed top is moulded with a corbel with a small flat surface underneath.
It rests on gaiac wood legs turned into balusters joined by an H-shaped crossbar, also in gaiac wood, with a mahogany spindle in the centre.
A moulding highlights the drawer and side rails.
At the back, the rail is made of oak. 18th century.
In good condition with its original patina and signs of wear.
After visiting two beautiful collections of port furniture, it is possible to conclude that this table was made in the Dunkirk region.
