After Étienne-Maurice FALCONET (1716 - 1791) Bather Bronze with brown patina, circular marble base France, late 19th century H (total) 14 cm This model inspired by a painting by François Lemoyne exudes all the grace and discreet sensuality specific to Antiquity. Leaning on a tree trunk, the young naked woman holds a drape in her hands. This charming statue of a bather rests on a circular base in veined marble. Work attributed to the French School of the 19th century. The original marble by Falconet has been exhibited at the Louvre since 1855. Free delivery for France
