Embroidered Cotton Blouse With Silk Floche Pompoms - Tunisia Circa 1950
Circa 1950 Tunisia Large party or ceremony blouse in white cotton applied with silk ribbons from Tunis, a tradition since the 18th century. Breastplate in tight embroidery of black silk floss and silk pompoms in the same color adorning the shoulders and bottom of the tunic. A few halos on the white cotton, the only defect to report. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Large size. Height 107 cm, shoulders 41 cm, sleeves 93 cm, width 93 cm, fringes 11 cm.
