Beautifully polished and lustrous kinji gold ground and rich mother-of-pearl inlays in the high relief depiction of rats, the balls and takamakie seeds and the nashiji interior. Subject associated with the god Daikoku. Matching giltwood ojime. Signed Kakosai Shozan. Height: 10 cm x Width 6.2 cm. Exceptional quality of lacquer and carving.
