Vase in multi-layered glass, acid-etched and wheel-engraved on a hammered background, decorated with pink and green crocus flowers on a light background. Bears a dedication from the painter Pierre PUVIS de CHAVANNE (1824 - 1898) to Gabriel MOUREY on the base "to Gabriel Mourey / January 31, 1902 / charming souvenir of the conference / Paris". "DAUM # NANCY" Gabriel MOUREY (1865 - 1943) French art critic and writer close to Syéphane MALARME and Claude DEBUSSY known for his contributions to the promotion of Art Nouveau, notably on the painter Pierre PUVIS de CHAVANNE.
