Henry Valensi: Orientalist Gouache From North Africa
Henry Valensi (Algiers 1883- Bailly 1960) After his childhood in Algiers, Valensi settled in Paris in 1898. He took courses in Fine Arts and entered the studio of Lefebvre and Robert Fleury. He came frequently to Algiers, and studied Muslim art. And the bread of views of Algiers, close to neon impressionism and exhibited at the Salon des Orientale in 1905.
