Pewter EWER with a flared shape and horizontal groove, fan-shaped gadrooned spout, large stepped molded pedestal and C-shaped handle with draped crook.
Hallmark of André GROSSE received as master in 1660 and appointed juror in 1693: double-headed eagle spread / AG
Height: 22.3 cm.
Besançon, Circa 1700


In good condition, a local rework of origin intended to correct a small casting defect.
The city's coat of arms is: "Or, with a sable eagle holding in its talons two gules columns overlapping on the wings".
