18th Century Chinese Carved Wooden Mirror With Parecloses
Amusing little mirror with parecloses, made by a decorator certainly in the 50s, with carved and gilded wooden elements on a background of Chinese red lacquer, from the 18th century, representing mandarins, and lotus flowers, bunches of grapes, and trellises. He skillfully played on the depth by creating two registers of superimposed decor, this created an optical play with the mirror. A few small lacks but good general condition and beautiful decorative effect.
