Two French armchairs, in mahogany, mid-nineteenth century.
Louis Philippe style, carved from solid mahogany,
the armchairs have shaped armrests and an open back
which makes them light to the eye but at the same time comfortable.
The front legs, also carved,
rest on wheels that facilitate movement.
New padding and red fabric decorated with flowers, scrolls and
by a pair of green and gold phoenixes.
Restored and polished with shellac
