Portrait of a man, oil on wooden panel, dimensions 18 cm x 21 cm, with its old frame: 36 cm x 38 cm, Flanders late 16th century, workshop of Thomasz Key. Adriaen Thomasz Key is a Flemish painter born in Antwerp in 1544 and died in 1589, son of Adriaen Thomasz Key the Elder, he joined the guild of Saint Luke of Antwerp in 1568. Although he painted religious subjects he was above all a portraitist, his paintings appear in several museums in Belgium and Holland.
