Painting representing the shepherd and his flock signed Antonio Cortés y Aguilar, born in Seville (Spain) on March 10, 1827 and died in Lagny-sur-Marne on March 14, 1908, is a Spanish painter, father of Édouard Cortès Romantic Museum in Madrid and the Bellver collection in Seville His paintings are mainly related to landscapes and representations of the French countryside with livestock, he also paints some portraits and religious paintings2. He trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Saint Isabella of Hungary (es) in Seville and was influenced by the Barbizon school. In 1855, he moved to Paris for the Paris Universal Exhibition. Exhibits his works, mainly paintings representing landscapes with livestock and landscapes with shepherds and flocks. Antonio Cortés y Aguilar settles in Lagny-sur-Marne at 7 boulevard Charpentier Gilded stucco frame 19th century
