Boxwood rasp with pivot lid.

The lid carved with a count's crown (9 pearls) and his coat of arms (tared helmet front closed wing double-headed eagle) on the back the number "LG" under a duke's crown, chevron-shaped rasp.

Reference: work of César Bagard (ref Pinto book plate 25).

Made in Nancy circa 1675/1700.
