Wenceslas Hollar (1607, Prague - 1677, London) was a designer and engraver from Bohemia. Hollar was, with Abraham Bosse, one of the best engravers of the 17th century, and made the etching technique known in England. He executed a multitude of drawings that are still very popular due to the meticulousness of the descriptions and the precision of the line.
