Large Baroque Mirror In Golden Wood With Cherubs
Large Baroque mirror in richly carved gilded wood with a rococo and floral motif. Rare model with tablets, presumed Venetian work from the 18th-19th century. The pediment is decorated with a rich decoration of blooming flowers on a background of quadrilobed flowers, in the center an elegant shell is openwork on a trellis. The uprights punctuated by foliage and acanthus leaves are animated by cherubs in high relief surmounted by canopies with gables forming presentation consoles. The lower part is decorated with a large scrolled shelf supported by an apron decorated with leafy scrolls and a large shell in the center. Original glass with mercury silver background. Good condition, beautiful gilding, rare wear and losses. Dimensions: 1.10 m high x 95 cm wide.
