Beautiful pendulum in gilded and exotically patinated bronze called the "negro" pendulum or "noble savage" pendulum from the Empire period, it represents maritime trade symbolized by an African sailor, sulphide eyes, holding a pipe in his right hand and a rope in the left hand. It leans on a bale of cotton anchor and barrel placed on the right side.
