Sugar Tongs And Sprinkling Spoon Sterling Silver flag

Object description :

"Sugar Tongs And Sprinkling Spoon Sterling Silver"
Amazing quality for these two sugar serving pieces. Sprinkling tongs and spoon in solid silver 1st grade, "head of Minerva" hallmark and master goldsmith's diamond hallmark to be identified but surely a great one! The decoration in strong relief of vine leaves and grapes is of remarkable quality. On the spoon, a fox's head and a vermilion shell enhance the decor. Both pieces are marked with the letter "M". Large weight, 220 g in total, 22cm long for the spoon and 16cm for the tongs. The quality is worthy of the greatest goldsmiths of the 19th century such as Froment-Meurice.
