Nandi, the divine bull, companion and vahana (vehicle) of Shiva in a reclining position on a flat pedestal. He is adorned with a saddle and a harness of cowbells, his expression is impassive and serene. India, probably Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh, stoneware, 19th century.
