Pair of large gilt bronze candlesticks called "Aux amours ailés" attributable to Philippe Thomire. Leaning one foot on a sphere, the finely chiseled cupids hold at arm's length a crown from which emerge three S-shaped arms of light decorated with voluptuous scrolls with a torch in their center. Beautiful gilding and high quality carving.
